The Ball explores a couple of themes around inner conflict and self-reflection. Being a film with no dialogue, it allows room for the audience to solely focus on the actor's emotions through his body language and facial expression. It creates an interesting relationship and tension between the character and the red ball, an inanimate being however there seems to be an invisible communication between the two.
